Meet Steven Davis, PhD

My journey into personal finance wasn't a straight line. Like many, I started out as "Mr. Smith"—a newcomer navigating a world filled with "unscrupulous financial advisors" more interested in their commissions than my financial health. I saw firsthand how complex products and hidden fees can erode a lifetime of savings.

Determined to find a better way, I became "Mr. Johnson," diving deep into the mechanics of the financial system. Through years of research and trial-and-error, I transitioned from a frustrated consumer to a confident DIY investor. Today, I've traded the complexity of active management for the simplicity and power of low-cost indexing and disciplined budgeting.

I now try to follow what my ideal teacher, Mrs. Williams (my old maths teacher), would have done. She taught me that most complex problems can be simplified with logic, patience, and a solid understanding of the basics. SaveMoneyIQ is my attempt to bring that "Mrs. Williams approach" to the world of finance.
